S2BM Model

Five capabilities and a cluster model

This is how we turn small, scattered or underutilized assets into a robust, diversified and scalable mining platform.

The process

The platform's five capabilities

Each capability removes a concrete barrier that keeps small-scale mining from capturing its value today.

01

Identification of underutilized mining assets

We source small, idle, informal, abandoned or insufficiently developed projects with technical, geological, productive or strategic potential. We prioritize assets with mining history, established claims, prior workings, available infrastructure and territorial access.

02

Technical and operational reconditioning

We assess, organize and recondition assets to bring them to real operating condition: mine planning, infrastructure upgrades, safety, production processes and operational control.

03

Legal, environmental and mining formalization

One of our key differentiators: we put projects in order from their foundations — mining titles, sector permits, environmental compliance, community relations, contracts, easements, exploitation plans and regulatory standards.

04

Integration into a cluster model

We don't treat each project as an isolated unit but as part of an integrated portfolio. Territorial proximity, logistical complementarity, shared infrastructure, economies of scale and centralized management turn small operations into an efficient, competitive platform.

05

Responsible production and cash-flow generation

The end goal: producing minerals in a regular, traceable and responsible way, generating cash flow, local employment, productive linkages and value for investors, mining owners, communities and territories.

Cluster model

The portfolio is worth more than the sum of its sites

Traditional large-scale mining is built on a single large deposit, long development cycles and high capital requirements. S2BM proposes a different path: building value from a portfolio of strategically located small projects.

Integrated under one operational, technical, commercial and regulatory platform, projects that individually seem limited become a robust, diversified and scalable mining business.

Cluster levers

  • Territorial proximity and logistical complementarity between sites
  • Shared infrastructure and services
  • Economies of scale in procurement, processing and sales
  • Centralized technical, regulatory and commercial management
Project lifecycle

From underutilized asset to production unit

Every project on the platform advances through clear, measurable stages.

Assessment

Technical, geological, legal and territorial due diligence.

Formalization

Titles, permits, environment and community agreements.

Reconditioning

Infrastructure, safety, planning and operational control.

Production

Regular, traceable, cash-flow-generating operation.

Frequently asked questions

What we get asked most

The usual questions from site owners, investors and mineral buyers.

Do I lose ownership of my mining concession by working with S2BM?

No. Each case is structured according to the asset and the owner's situation: lease agreements, partnerships, purchase options or hybrid models. The goal is for the owner to capture value from an asset that currently produces nothing, not to give up their property.

How long does it take to formalize a small-scale mining site in Chile?

It depends on the starting condition: valid mining titles, overlapping claims, pending sector permits, environmental status and community relations. A site with clean titles and prior workings can be formalized in months; one with ownership issues or environmental liabilities takes longer. The first step is always a technical and legal assessment.

Who provides the capital to reactivate the site?

S2BM provides professional management, capital, permitting, technology and operational discipline. The owner provides the asset. Value distribution is defined in each agreement based on each party's contribution and the project's stage.

What does a mining asset need for S2BM to assess it?

We assess projects with mining history, established claims, prior workings, available infrastructure or known geological potential. Being in production or holding every permit is not a requirement: that is precisely the work we do.

Does S2B Minerals market copper concentrate and gold?

We market copper concentrate, fine gold and doré, and run-of-mine ore sourced from our platform of partner operations, with declared grade and verified origin. Smelters, refineries and traders requiring traceable origin can contact us directly.

Which regions of Chile does S2B Minerals operate in?

We operate in three mining districts: Illapel and Andacollo in the Coquimbo Region, and Taltal in the Antofagasta Region. We assess assets in other parts of the country with potential to join the cluster.

The result: one platform, many projects

Scale, compliance, efficiency and sustainability combined in a single mining operation.
